Blogger threatened by Herman Miller !

I received an email recently from Herman Miller, the office furniture company, regarding the posts I made about their new cubicle design, the “My Studio Environments” which I wrote about here.

They apparently took exception to my comments, and also to the joke I made about their design, here.

This is an excerpt from the email:

“Dear Mr YouCube,

It has come to our attention that you have been making fun of our new cubicle design, the My Office Environments. Our designers poured their hearts and souls into this design, and are extremely upset that you said these nasty things about it. One of them even had to take a day off to recover. He was that upset. This has adversely affected our production to such a degree that we must ask you to retract your statements or risk suffering the consequences.

Please retract all your nasty comments or we will send the boys round forthwith. And let me tell you, Mr YouCube, we have lots and lots of money, and can afford the biggest, toughest boys in the furniture design world. These boys make Frank Lloyd Wright look like a little girl. So unless you want your office re-arranged, you better get right on it.”
