Dump that cubicle in the trash

Who needs a cubicle anyway? Japanese furniture seller “RARE MONO SHOP” is currently selling what they consider to be the next big thing in office furniture. A do it yourself chair/desk combo, that doesn’t even need walls. Don’t let your boss see this, it may give him some ideas.

The idea is to fit a desk to the chair by bolting it on like this:

I have no clue what the sales blurb says but I have an idea it’s something along the lines of :

“Do away with that clunky cubicle furniture! Improve productivity and squeeze an extra 50% employees in to the same space, while saving the environment at the same time!”

If anybody has tried this contraption, I would love to hear about it.

I have made a few posts about Japanese Cubicle Hotels and Japanese Cubicle Culture, and wonder where this fits in. Are they planning on doing away with cubicles?
