Japanese cubicle culture
It looks as though the idea of cubicles has spread even further in Japan than I thought. Not content with working in a cubicle, selling hotel rooms slightly larger than a typical American coffin, they also feel the need to eat in a cubicle restaurant. These photos are taken in Fukuoka, where the restaurants apparently serve the best Ramen noodles in Japan.
Personally speaking, I like a little social intercourse with my meals, but if you only have a twenty minute lunch break, these are a good idea. No messing around arguing who gets the check, no having to make polite conversation with the guy from marketing that you hate. But a little sad at the same time. The beer looks good though. Itadakimasu !
